The second US Coup d’etat
has happened.*
They wanted to make money on a war with Iraq (and more), but the Democrats were the main obstacle. What did they need? The Republican majority in the government
at any price. They neutralized the Democrats well (including the catastrophe of the airplane with the leader of the Democrats senator Paul Wellstone and his family).
The result:
Broward
officials misplace 103,222 votes, but outcomes are unchanged
(Florida).

The direct question:
Can we call Elections an Event where Corporations offer us highly paid prostitutes of their choice?
Between 1 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday, the elections office found it had left 103,222 votes out of the total ballots cast, including 34,136 votes for the race -- even though the total announced at 1 a.m. was given as a 100 percent count.
Among the changes, McBride netted an extra 13,815 votes against Bush.
Mike Lindsey, an observer for the state Division of Elections, said that the election software system stores data in different areas and that the summary reports distributed Tuesday night and Wednesday morning were formatted incorrectly, omitting some of the figures.

31 Election Mistakes (So Far)
Ballots printed incorrectly, programming errors miscount the votes; elections overturned...but only if you find the error.
Thirty one city newspapers have documented voting errors that only add
to the ballot-stuffing, dead-people-voting, hide-the-ballots-in-your-trunk, absentee-faking
problems of the past. The rush to computerized counting, and the consolidation
of the "voting machine industry" into just three major players, who try
to keep their identities secret, fail to mention conflicts of interest,
and dismiss criminal records has added new worries about the security of our voting process. http://www.talion.com/election-mistakes.html#reports
Owners of the Election Systems & Software (the manufacturer of voting machines that are used in Florida) are the Republicans (Ahmanson
has 68% of the company). Did they help the Republicans to take over the Democrats? Yes, they did.
http://www.talion.com/voting-machines.html
"Hurtt, Ahmanson and a political action committee they co-founded with two other Southern California businessmen helped fund the campaigns of nearly two-thirds of the Republicans in the Assembly, and almost half of those in the Senate. "The reason why we [Republicans] took over the Assembly was because of them," said William Buck Johns III, a member of the conservative Lincoln Club, another top contributor to state and local campaigns... During the first half of this decade, Ahmanson and Hurtt donated at least $7.1 million to local and state political causes. Their partners in what was originally called the Allied Business PAC--now known as the California Independent Business PAC--plowed another $1.4 million into state and local political campaigns over the same period. .."Their influence on the Republican Party, I think, has been smashing," said
Jerry Sloan, president of Project Tocsin, a group that monitors the religious
right. 'They have literally taken over the party.'
The voting machine companies went to court to have their counting code declared "proprietary" so that no one can look at it. Computer experts who have analyzed the code say it is a "spaghetti code" that
is almost indecipherable.
It only takes ONE "true believer" to compromise a voting system. It could be anyone who gets access. There are many ways to do this. Implant a Trojan Horse that, as soon as a particular vote passes a "tipping point" will start throwing votes the other way; or put in a bug that when the modem transmits a certain result, the receiving computer sends data back to change the database. For even more fun, a good programmer can have the code erase itself as soon as it does its work. Or, you can have the program perform random "errors" scattered
across a system.
A touch screen that registers Democrat when you press Democrat doesn't have to
count your vote as for the Democrats. What you see on the screen involves a
different process how the machine counts the votes.
HOW SAFE ARE OUR VOTING MACHINES by
Ronnie Dugger
In fact, it would be relatively easy for somebody with programming knowledge to instruct a computer to add
extra votes or to discount some--and do so in a way that would escape notice. "There are at least a half-dozen places, maybe a few less, where you could lay in a Trojan [for instance, a secret vote-counting control algorithm] in that source code lay in routines to do whatever you wanted to in an election," Wayne Nunn, a computer specialist who examined the source code in a contested West Virginia election, once told me. (Then, to prove his point, he sat down at his computer while we were talking and, within ten minutes, had rewritten the code so the computer made two and two add up to five.) "I have no question," says Randall H. Erben, President Reagan's special counsel for ballot integrity, "that
somebody who's smart enough with a computer could probably rig it to mistabulate....
It's going to be virtually undetectable if it's done correctly."
Election officials insist that they run "logic and accuracy tests" to prevent tampering. But these tests are often woefully inadequate. Dr. Peter Neumann, a senior computer specialist at SRI International in Menlo Park, California, says a skilled user of a conventional computer can "do almost anything he wants and leave no trace.... You effectively have to trust the entire staff of the corporation that is producing your software. Every single member has to be trusted." Because of poor security controls in many election districts, Neumann says, it is "relatively easy" to start the counting with, say, 3,000 votes for one candidate and zero for the other, even though the counters would indicate zero for both. "I program it," he explains, "so that, after the test is run ... it simply adds thousands of votes."

If the iVotronic voting
machines that were used in Florida had the proprietary MS Windows-based GUI - it
means that they could not do it without MS. To be more accurate - MS and nobody else must write the code for iVotronic voting machines (because MS did not give up proprietary codes yet). Thus,
Bill Gates brought the Republicans to power. And if Bill Gates put his money
into the Republicans and at the same time into iVotronic voting machines - he knew exactly what he wanted from the Republicans. Let me say it - power

"The military story is more serious than the DUI story, since it relates to the
recent mobilization of the National Guard and reserve units during the Gulf
War. Many citizens who reported for duty during the Gulf War take issue with
George Bush's refusal to report for duty during the Vietnam War. Unlike Clinton,
who dodged the draft, Bush signed up for a six year stint but, four years
in, after the government invested $200,00 teaching him to fly, refused to
obey an order to take a physical, resulting in suspension flying. Instead
of being arrested for failure to appear when ordered, Bush disappeared from
duty until the Vietnam War ended, apparently using political influence to
duck into civilian duties. At that time, documents show that he reappeared
and was assigned to "punishment" duty
in Denver. Clinton also seems to have used political pull to avoid military
duty, but he ducked out of the draft, whereas Bush ducked out in the middle
of his enlistment, even more abhorrent to veterans."
