A preliminary study, presented at the European Conference on Nutrition and Cancer (Lyon, 2001) and coordinated by the World Health Organizations International Agency for Research on Cancer shows that preserved meats such as salami, bacon, cured ham and hot dogs could increase the risk of colorectal cancer by 50 percent than those who ate no preserved meat. It's Here, It's Now The problem isn't just out there some where. Walk through the meat
section of your supermarket, and 30%-50% of the chickens you see are contaminated
with salmonella (which can survive microwave cooking). Almost 100% contain
campylobacter pathogens. But, here is the worst bacteria problem in the
country: enterococci. This low-key bacterium used to be so tame; it was
ignored in med school texts. You could always cure it with the drug vancomycin.
Then, in September 1988, a disaster began. Within 26 month, a new strain
appeared in New York City hospitals: Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococci
(VRE). VRE is virtually untreatable. And if it gets into your bloodstream (bacteremia),
it's absolutely untreatable. A death sentence. And it has recently become
the fastest-growing bacterial disease in the land. You think, Well, if I get VRE, I'll go to a good hospital! Problem: ninty-eight percent
of all VRE is caught in a hospital. Hospitals is a breeding ground. You
think, Well, they could put me in intensive care, away from other patients.
Problem: About half of hospitals VRE infections are cought in intensive
care units! This germ is so tenacious; you have to wash your hands for
at least 30 seconds to get it off. A tiny glob of it will survive on a
bedrail for 24 hours without losing one bacterium. It will survive on
a countertop for 7 days, which in a hospital context amounts to eternal
life. The medical community is very frightened. People are dying, and
they don't know how to stop it.
There is a way to stop unending fighting between what you want to eat
and what food your body really needs, according to the opinion of
Dr. Vladimir Gouliaev. He says that physiologically, human beings have
2 kinds of pleasure: pleasure from going down (alcohol, narcotics, heavy
stimulants, destructive emotions, etc.) and from going up (inspiration,
successful realization of creative skills and ideas in life, resolving
of obstacles on the way, etc.). Both are experienced as a pleasure, but
the pleasure from going up is much higher. Therefore, people, who are
following up - don't like pleasure from going down. That's why the energy
based Shock Diet of Dr. Vladimir Gouliaev,
that is oriented to bring you up, works without will power. If a person
remains on the Shock Diet for about one
week - his/her body automatically increases energy. The body always
needs extra energy and, therefore, it chooses the way which increases
energy. In other words, the body likes the food and diet (the Shock
Diet), which causes the growth of energy. Than the body transfers
its pleasure of getting energy to the mind of the person and it causes
pleasure to follow the Shock Diet of Dr.
Vladimir Gouliaev (without any additional effort), because there is no
fighting with the body (what the person wants matches with what the body
needs). If people stay on the Shock Diet for awhile, their body
stops to like behaviors, which cause the decrease of energy. It's amazing,
but this is what people say about this diet (the Shock
Diet). Dr. Vladimir Gouliaev says: "It happens, because
for the body the pleasure of getting extra energy is the ultimate pleasure,
and the body constantly wants to increase it.
20 years of research and scientific studies show fruits
and vegetables help prevent diseases such as stroke and colorectal cancer
and vegetables lowers the risk of heart disease.
Karin Michels, Lead researcher of the Harvard Medical School in Boston,
Massachusetts: "The most important thing I want to get out is they
should eat a diet rich in fruits and vegetables in spite of all these
findings. ...fruits and vegetables definitely protect for other important
diseases such as cardiovascular disease, stroke, diabetes and potentially
other cancers. These are some of the best foods we can eat - there is
no doubt about it." (the Journal of the National Cancer Institute)
While most health experts agree that poor eating
habits are a major reason why more than half a million of Americans die
of cancer each year.
Results from the biggest ever study into diet and cancer involving 500,000
people from 10 European countries, presented at an international conference
in France (Lyon, 2001), showed that fiber was particularly important in
reducing cancer of the colon and rectum. Scientists said: a high fiber
diet can slash the risk of developing deadly cancers by as much
as 40 percent. The findings were part of the EPIC (European Prospective
Investigation of Cancer and Nutrition) that was reported at the European
Conference on Nutrition and Care in Lyon, France.
The EPIC study, which began 15 years ago, also showed a decreased chance
of developing colon cancer in people eating lots of fish, but a raised
risk in those consuming large amounts of preserved meats such as ham,
bacon and salami.
People are advised to eat five portions of fruits and vegetables a day
to achieve optimum health and avoid cancer.
The EPIC study also showed that people who smoke
a packet of cigarettes a day and drink more than a bottle of wine are
50 times more likely to suffer from throat cancers.
Conference attendees were also told of the preliminary findings of
one of the world's largest studies investigating the relationship between
the disease and what people eat.
"We do confirm that the consumption of fruits and vegetables reduces
the risk of colorectal cancer and cancers of the mouth, pharynx and esophagus.
... Heavy consumption of meat increase the risk of colorectal cancer." - Dr. Elio Riboli, one of the organizes of the conference and one of those
heading up the study, told Reuters Health.
High levels of potentially cancer causing chemicals 3-MCDP and 1,3-DCP
belong to a group of chemicals known as chloropropanols. They have
been found in some soy sauce products. The Food Standards Agency
(FSA).
Vegetarians have about half the cancer risk of
meat-eaters.
Phillips RL. Role of lifestyle and dietary habits in risk of cancer
among Seventh-day Adventists. Cancer Res 1975;35(Suppl):3513-22.
German researchers recently discovered that vegetarians
have more than twice the natural killer cell activity of meat-eaters.

vegetarian and omnivorous men. Nutr and Cancer 1989;12:271-8.
With at least 50 percent of cancer patients using alternative medicine, "they deserve thorough and well-researched information," says
U.S. Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa.
In March, the American Heart Association (AHA) drafted an advisory paper
recommending that people stay away from high protein and low carbohydrate
diets like Atkins Diet, because they're not heart-healthy. According to
the AHA, most people that remain on these diets
(like Atkins Diet) for a long time will see their levels of bad cholesterol
rise. And, that's of great concern to Sherwin, who said that
80 percent of all diabetics -- both type 1 and type 2 -- die of some form
of cardiovascular disease.
High protein, low carbohydrate diets force stress to kidneys.
Dr. Loren Wissner Greene says for diabetics who already have the beginnings
of kidney disease, these diet plans could be a problem. So, if diabetics
are on one of these diets for a long period of time, their kidneys are
constantly being challenged and will likely fail sooner, she says. (drkoop.com,
date Published: 6/13/01)
High protein diets cause acidosis. Acidosis is the tendency of the body to be over acid.
This occurs when the body loses its alkaline reserve. Persons who have
diabetes often suffer from acidosis. The symptoms of acidosis are insomnia,
rheumatoid arthritis, migraine headaches, hard dry stools, sensitivity
of teeth to vinegar and acid fruits. The causes of acidosis are kidney,
liver, and adrenal disorder, desire of improper eating (improper diet),
anger, stress, and excess niacin and vitamin C. (Published: Herbs, Minerals & Goods 2001)
Cancer patients must beware of high protein diets (like Atkins Diet) that cause acidosis and may alkaline the body
(consult with your health care professional). A pH range of 8.0 (alkaline)
is a deadly environment for the cancer cell... the cancer cell dies within
a few days and is absorbed and eliminated by the body. (Keith Brewer,
PhD 1984)
Worse: Bacteria are talented at passing on drug-resistant genes
to other kinds of bacteria. If VRE ever passes on its resistant gene to
staph or strep bacteria, normal human life will become a fading memory.
You'll see a holocaust of death and disease like nothing else in history.
We think of the hapless peasants of 14th-century Europe, and we say, Tsk-tsk.
They lost one-third of the population because they did not know how to
fight the Black Plaque. Well, our doctors don't know how to fight VRE.
And at least peasants could flee. They could quarantine. We, however,
have a highly interconnected world in which food and travelers spread
epidemics across continents in hours. For us, there is no escape.*
*Bear in mind that the U.S. government has raised its antibioterror spending from
$5.7 billion in 1996 to about $10 billion in 2000. They are taking an
attack with anthrax bacillus as a serious threat."
(Dr. David Williams, article "KILLER BACTERIA" 2001)
Therefore, the body expands pleasure of getting energy from the digestive system (food) to other areas of the body and mind functions (it rebuilds other body systems in order to receive more energy)." Excerpt from the Shock Diet System E-book (May 2005). Read more ...
